  7. Fear and Self-Confidence.
  8.  
  9.     "Getting the Fear" brings on a hyper awareness of one's
  10. outside environment (and a dramatic heightening of all
  11. one's physical and psychic senses) when raised to a pitch
  12. nearing terror by survival instincts.  This is the
  13. definition of pathic paranoia.  The purpose of deliberately
  14. inducing fear in oneself is to increase awareness and,
  15. although somewhat unpredictably, speed in performing acts
  16. of an embarrassing or "not quite legal" sort.  This method,
  17. however, when it is the only one used, tends to attract
  18. notice rather than detract from it.
  19.  
  20.     Self-Confidence, when intentionally induced into an
  21. unlikely situation, brings non-awareness, enabling the
  22. operator to continue unhampered by fear of divulgence.
  23. This is effectively used in acts of a self-righteous sort,
  24. in which the operator sees the act as a "god-given right"
  25. despite societal taboos to the contrary.  An artificial
  26. superiority complex is one such example of a self-induced
  27. confidence trick to hide unpreparedness, inability,
  28. embarrassment and so on.

  30.     There is also the art of "Blending in" that often
  31. includes both of these, and is the primary result of both
  32. when attempting to become invisible.  The act of inspiring
  33. confusion in mob situations is included in the art of
  34. blending in, as it makes any and all actions by a single or
  35. well orchestrated group seem of little importance compared
  36. to the actions of a confused and/or panicking mob.
  37. Therefore, one or all of these factors must be included in
  38. any operation whose purpose is to cast a glamour of
  39. invisibility on any person, place, or thing.
  40.  
  41.     The following ritual outline can be used in any
  42. situation which hostile discovery might be the result.
  43. Invisibility should not be the only objective therefore,
  44. and so a cloak of silence is also implied.  Smell of course
  45. is fairly simple to conceal, and is used to advantage by
  46. covering up or removing it.  The aim of the ritual then is
  47. complete invisibility, to include ultimately psychic
  48. manipulation of the surrounding area of operation; creating
  49. a warp in the fabric of perception to hide an unaccustomed
  50. weave.  As with any modus operandi, practice makes perfect,
  51. and therefore operators are advised to adapt the ritual to
  52. fit any circumstance.  The Creepy Crawl Chameleon Rite is
  53. best performed by a group whilst a single individual speaks
  54. the enochian invocation.

  59. Preliminary:
  60. A few moments of silence and relaxed awareness of one's
  61. surroundings.  After a suitable period (when one is calm
  62. and relaxed), the operators begin imagining everything they
  63. see, hear, etc. as a potential threat.  This should last
  64. only long enough that high-pitched fear overtakes them.

  67. Statement of Intent:
  68. "It is my/our will to cast a glamour of negative perception
  69. on all that should come into my/our sphere of influence."

  72. Invocation of Invisibility:
  73. To be spoken aloud by a single operant whilst all operators
  74. slowly spin, widdershins, with eyes wide open and arms
  75. outstretched.  Operators visualize a sphere of dense black,
  76. smoky darkness enveloping the area surrounding them as the
  77. enochian invocation is delivered.

  102. The operators then see the smoky darkness dissipate as all
  103. that is within the working area begins to "fold".
  104.  
  105. The unfolding process is completed by laughter whilst
  106. spinning quickly deosil (to the right), decreasing
  107. speed to a full stop.
